The General Election takes place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. It seems like a long time away right now, but time passes quickly.
REGISTER
Make sure you’re registered to vote! The simplest way is via online voter registration. The last day to register to vote in this election is October 8th, 2024. The easiest way to register is online.
VOTE BY MAIL
The application for voting by mail will be available starting August 7, 2024. The last day your vote by mail application will be accepted is October 31. Once you have your ballot, you can mail it in beginning September 26. It must be postmarked no later than November 5 (that’s Election Day) and must be received within 14 days of the election.

EARLY VOTING
The first day for early voting in Illinois is September 26. Bureau County voters can cast their ballots at the County Courthouse, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

GRACE PERIOD
The first day for grace period registration and voting is October 9. Grace period registration is only available in person at the Bureau County Clerk’s office.
